Conventional plastic cutlery outlives the person who used it by four centuries. Ours is grown from this year's crops and returns to the ground as nutrients before next year's planting. Nothing is mined, nothing lingers.

Our story

Started by caterers tired of binbags full of plastic

Sprig began in 2021 when two event caterers counted the cost of a single wedding: eleven sacks of plastic cups and cutlery, all of it landfill-bound by Monday. There had to be tableware that performed like plastic and vanished like a leaf.

So we built it. Today Sprig supplies festivals, food trucks, offices and home hosts across the country — proof that single-use doesn't have to mean single-minded.
